Using materials supplied by SAEOPP, students are tasked with designing and constructing a model bridge using the construction guidelines provided. Each team may consist of up to 6 students and one supervisor. The bridge must be built at the competition within a 3-hour time limit.
High-Q is a quick recall team competition for Educational Talent Search High School students. Each competition consists of a round robin format with multiple rounds. Each team consists of up to six students with four students playing in a round.
Academic Bowl is a series of competitions for Educational Talent Search Middle School students. An Academic Bowl team can consist of between 6-12 students. The competitions held are a Spelling Bee, Written Exam, and Super Quiz. Both individual and team awards will be given from each category and the overall winner will be determined by a team score from the three events.
